Welcome to Dewey Beach! Straddling the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay, just south of Rehoboth Beach and just a few miles north of Bethany Beach, is a strip of land about a mile long and 2 city blocks wide, known as Dewey Beach. It is the perfect destination for beach lovers and thrill seekers alike. Sunbathe on the beach all morning, spend your afternoon enjoying the many water sports available on the Bay, then top it off with a tropical drink while watching the sun set and enjoying the beautiful music of a steel drum band. No need to worry about traffic or finding a parking space since the Delaware Seabreeze House is just a short walk to all the restaurants, shopping, beach, water sports and nightlife in Dewey Beach. If carnival games and a boardwalk interest you, just hop the Jolly Trolley up to Rehoboth. During the week, Dewey Beach is a tranquil retreat - ideal for couples, families and retirees. The beaches are not very crowded and the town really has a small town atmosphere. On the weekends, Dewey really comes alive with some of the best live music and nightlife on the entire Delmarva peninsula. Just a few blocks south of Dewey Beach, the Delaware Seashore State Park covers 2,825 acres. It is a long, narrow north-south park, bounded on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by Rehoboth Bay and Indian River Bay. The nearly deserted beaches and dunes in the State Park are ideal for couples or families that want to really get away from it all. The Indian River Inlet, right in the middle of the Park, is a great place to charter a fishing boat or go out on one of the large group fishing expeditions. If you enjoy fine dining and great seafood, Dewey has a handful of very nice restaurants, too, and if you take the short trip up to Rehoboth, you’ll find dozens more top notch restaurants. If you want to listen to live music, Dewey Beach's venues, like The Rusty Rudder, Bottle & Cork, Lighthouse, and The Starboard, offer a variety of entertainment options. Dewey has something for everyone.
